How to Send TRX with Trust Wallet – Step-by-Step

Trust Wallet is a popular multi-chain mobile wallet that fully supports the Tron network, including TRX and all TRC20 tokens like USDT. Available for both iOS and Android, Trust Wallet provides an intuitive interface for managing and sending Tron assets.

Installing Trust Wallet

Download Trust Wallet from the official App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). The official website is trustwallet.com. Trust Wallet is developed by Binance but operates as a fully self-custody wallet — you control your private keys at all times.

Adding TRX and TRC20 Tokens to Trust Wallet

When you first set up Trust Wallet, TRX should be visible by default. If you need to add a specific TRC20 token (like USDT TRC20), tap the icon in the top-right corner of the wallet screen, search for "USDT TRC20", and enable it. Make sure you select the version labeled "Tron (TRC20)" rather than "Ethereum (ERC20)".

How to Send TRX from Trust Wallet

Step 1 – Open Trust Wallet and Select TRX

Open the Trust Wallet app and tap on "Tron" (TRX) from your wallet list. This shows your current TRX balance and recent transaction history.

Step 2 – Tap "Send"

Tap the blue Send button at the top of the TRX screen. This opens the sending interface.

Step 3 – Paste or Scan the Recipient Address

Tap the address field and paste the recipient's Tron wallet address. You can also tap the QR code icon to scan a QR code. Verify that the address starts with "T".

Step 4 – Enter the Amount

Type how much TRX you want to send. Trust Wallet shows the equivalent in USD below the input. You can also tap "Max" to send your entire balance (minus the fee).

Step 5 – Review and Confirm

Trust Wallet shows a confirmation screen with the recipient address, amount, and estimated network fee. Review everything carefully and tap Confirm. You may need to authenticate with your fingerprint, Face ID, or a PIN.

Sending USDT TRC20 from Trust Wallet

The process for sending USDT TRC20 is identical to sending TRX. Select USDT (TRC20) from your wallet, tap Send, enter the TRC20 recipient address (starts with "T"), enter the amount, and confirm. Remember that you need at least 1–3 TRX in your wallet to pay for the energy fee.

Trust Wallet Note

Trust Wallet now offers "GasFree" USDT transfers for some plans — this lets you pay the Tron network fee in USDT if you have low TRX balance.

Troubleshooting: TRX Transfer Not Going Through

If your Trust Wallet TRX transfer fails, check the following: (1) Ensure your TRX balance is sufficient to cover both the amount and fees. (2) Verify the recipient address is a valid TRC20 address starting with "T". (3) Check that your Tron account is activated (has received at least 0.1 TRX previously). (4) Make sure your internet connection is stable during confirmation.
